about

On a Summer’s day in 2021 we visit Central Park in Manhattan. On this particular day the weather had just turned from Spring, and there was a lull in the Covid lockdowns. Every person of every description was in the park riding their bikes, having picnics, walking, or out listening to buskers. What better day to capture some environmental recordings!

This track is composed entirely from edits to a 20 minute recording captured in Ambisonic surround. The recording was then encoded into binaural format for immersive headphone listening. Care was taken to preserve the documentary aspect of the day, as well as to reproduce the “full spectrum” feeling in the atmosphere.
